Car Detailing Recommendations

I just picked up a 2011 MDX and have heard it might be a good idea to do a detail right off the bat. Would love to get some recommendations for guys that really know their stuff when it comes to detailing. I've never detailed a brand new car and was definitely concerned with over polishing the clear coat. Please let me know guys. Thanks in advance!

My wife and I just had our Miata detailed by Exotic Auto Detail in DC and they did a pretty good job. Prices are not out of line with most places in the area and they are located in a good location that is metro accessible.

Eternal Trends in Waldorf, MD does great detailing work & the prices are great too.

As for a new car, I would consider getting at least a coat of wax on it. So my answer would be yes to wax, detailing only if you really want to pay for it.

DIY if possible. no better way to bond with the car than to wash and detail it yourself.

in need of a FULL detail...there is a guy on here conan777...that is in NOVA, who does really great work. if you need paint correction as well he does that too.

stay away from the dealer detail dept. they really aren't that good.

Soooooooooo very true!!!

conan777 does do some great work!

and yeah, run like hell from the dealer! When you take your car in for service, make sure to stress to not wash the car
