I'm finally letting go of my teg. She's been a good car, but the time as come to let her go. I bought my 07 TL-S back in June of 07, and since then, the teg doesn't really get driven. So here it is...
Ok here goes a lot of info! This car was originally bought by owner #1 at the Acura dealership I work at, back in 1992. That owner sold it to someone who buys higher mileage cars, who turned around and sold it to me. I bought it with 188k miles on it, back in Fall of 2002. I have owned it since then. At 222k (Fall of '03), I swapped out the original B18A1 for a JDM 2nd gen B16A, along with a JDM YS1 5 speed (came together). This is the B16A that makes 170 HP, not 160 HP. And as I just stated, the trans is a JDM YS1, not a USDM YS1 (shorter gears). I also installed an Exedy Stage 2 clutch and pressure plate, as well as an 8 lb flywheel. Also note that I received the engine with about 40k miles on it, and at that time, installed a new timing belt, water pump, tensioner, and drive belts (all OEM). This was all done by me. And yes, if you notice the tach has an 8200 rpm redline, that's because it's out of a 3rd gen GSR. I custom fit, and wired, it in for a stock looking install.
Here is the list of mods. It's pretty long...
engine -
-JDM B16A (2nd gen, 170HP, ODB 1, 8200 rpm redline)
-JDM YS1 (short geared) tranny
-energy suspensions shifter bushing kit
-APC blue short shifter
-Type R style blue shift knob
-blue true cold air intake with blue couplings
-no name brand muffler, w/ silencer (sounds pretty decent)
-2 inch tubing from the cat back (OEM exhaust manifold, downpipe, and cat)

-one piece black housing projector headlights with halos (one halo 1/2 burnt out)
-custom made clear/red tail lights (red is fading in areas)
-carbon fibre hood
-stock front bumper with impact strip painted
-type R knock off lip for 92-93 bumper
-techno R side skirts
-6000k HID H3 kit for the (projector) foglights
-hyper white headlights
-custom fabricated and mounted LED bar to replace OEM 3rd brake light
-custom rewired foglights to come on independantly of headlights
-LED parking lights (front and rear)
-clear corner lights
-clear bumper lights
-PIAA hyper white front turn signals
interior-
-replaced ALL dash/climate control/gauge cluster/courtesy lights/etc with custom mounted and fabricated blue LEDs
-blue LED dome and map lights
-red "powered by Acura" seat belt pads
wheels/suspension/brakes:
-17x7 rev model XI in gunmetal w/ reverse polished lip

-eibach sportline lowering springs (1.8" drop front, 1.5" drop rear)

-Also removed the DVD player itself, but the screen, and wiring, are still there. (Screen is on passenger's sun visor)
misc:
-dual trumpet airhorns with compressor (don't work so well anymore)
-the club
Ok sorry for that long list...I think that's it, though I'm probably forgetting something.
Things that could use attention (because I'm honest like that )
Safety first -
Right front upper ball joint has some play, would recommend replacing
Rear pads are at 2/32", would recommend replacing
Misc:
As you can see from the pics, the right rear quarter panel is damaged. A drunk driver hit me 10/03, and I have only ever received one payment of $500 so far, from the restitution he owes me :thumbsdow:
ABS light is on. Last time I scanned it, RR wheel speed sensor was the culprit.
The sunroof has some cracks in it. It has been like this since I bought it, years ago, and they have never changed or gotton worse, leak, etc.
The inspection is expired, therefore the car is only driven around the block and surrounding areas a few times a month. Because of this, the tires have some flat spotting, and the brake rotors tend to rust a little. NONE of the calipers are seized though! You can put the car on even a small incline, and if you let off the brakes, it coasts. Also, the e-brake still works.
The engine still runs nice and smoothly. There is NO tapping, clicking, knocking, etc. It still has plenty of life left in it! Clutch is fine too, still grabs very well. Trans does not grind in any gear at any RPM, not even third.
Overall, even with the body damage, the car is in good condition. I've kept her since I got my TL-S, and promised myself I'de hold on to her, but it's time to finally let her go. I hope she finds a good home from someone on here!
If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me on here, or email me at kjw239@email.com. You may also call me at 717 940 1583. Please remember I'm in PA if you call (time zones!), and please don't call after 10pm EDT.
Lastly, since I'm a tech at Acura, if you buy this car, and need anything for it, I will help you out as best I can to get you parts at my cost. This offer is NOT open for anyone else, so please don't ask. I am simply just offering to help out whomever buys the car.
The pics are below (and were taken today, 1027/08), but if you'de like to see more, when the car was really clean, and in its prime (with the mods, too), click the link below. It will take you to my website (which hasn't been updated as a whole for a long time)

I haven't bumped this since I started the thread almost three weeks ago.
So bump.
Someone should buy this so I can justify buying exhaust and suspension for my TL-S I could just do it now...but it makes more sense to get rid of the teg before I do.

omg my boyfriend would die lol he had the same exact car but it was totaled because of some jackass that hit him while he was parked... Im going to show him this he may be interested and your not very far.
Just a curious question though is there any major body rust besides the passenger side rear? My boyfriends old teggy was rusting out from the bottom of the trunk >.<

That's awesome he had the same car. That's how I was, with cars, wanted the same thing. My first teg was 92, B62P, RS, auto. When I totalled that, I bought another 92, B62P, but GS, and 5 speed. And that's this one!
As for rust. There is some at the antenna (which still works fine by the way), and a bit at the right side of the spoiler (it's not visible brown rust, just under the paint a little). The antenna one is visible rust, maybe like 2" x 1" ? Off the top of my head, that should be it. There is no wheel well rust like older Hondas, and nothing else I can think of. I'll go outside later today and double check.
If there are any other questions I can answer, let me know. You can get ahold of me on here, PM, email, or call if needed. I would love to see this in the hands of a previous teg owner...I really want her to go to someone who will treat it right...or least knows a lot about them!
Thanks!
