08 TL Type-S | NBP/Taupe | MODDED | Location: Rhode Island

Year: 2008
Make: Acura
Model: TL
Price: $24000
Mileage: 40000
Color: Nighthawk Black Pearl (NBP)
Location (State/Prov): RI

So I'm getting bored with the TL-S and looking to get into another car... maybe an SUV. Looking to sell privately rather than trade it in.

2008 Acura TL Type-S, NBP/Taupe, 5AT. All modifications are included in the sale, as well as all stock/OEM parts. Car has a little over 40,000 miles on it. I bought it brand new and have babied it since (as I'm sure all of us do).

EDIT ADD 21JUN11

NEW PRICES. FIRM PRICES. FINAL PRICES.

With ALL mods included: $24,000
WITHOUTthe TE37s: $22,000
--->Instead of the TEs, you will get the TL-S 17" stockies, with near new stock Michelins, and a set of 17" Bridgestone Blizzaks with about 10,000 miles on them.

All maintenance/service has been done at Inskip Acura in RI. NO maintenance has been needed other than scheduled oil changes. The car was in a front-end collision about a year ago. However, all that was damaged was body parts - the only thing under the hood that was touched or needed to be replaced was the radiator. All repairs were done by Inskip Acura and I do have all records of the repair. I have experienced zero problems since the repair. I've had zero problems with the car since I bought it.

CONDENSED:

1. Price: $24,000
2. Mileage: 40,xxx
3. Color, Transmission-auto or manual, Navi? NBP, Auto, Navi.
4. Reason for selling: Want to move into another car.
5. Location: Rhode Island
6. Pictures: Below. Others upon request. Or you can come see it.
7. Are you the first owner? Yes
8. Title information: I own it.
a. Clean/clear/rebuilt/salvage/other (explain further).
b. Also state if you have title or it is being held by a lienholder.
9. VIN (would be nice to have but I can understand that some people do not want to publicly post this): Upon request.
10. Modifications: See below
11. Service record: All scheduled service done at Inskip Acura in RI.

Updated info 14May11
-No more ATLP exhaust
-Brand new front bumper with BASE A-Spec lip (will have pics soon)

?? I don't see why a front-end collision would have an effect on the title of the car...? I got in an accident, the panels that were damaged were replaced and painted by an Acura dealer, and that's it. I really don't know what that has to do with the title of the car. It's not like the car is a salvage or something... I bought it brand new.

I was asking the question because you failed to complete item 8a when you filled in the condensed facts.

8. Title information: I own it.
a. Clean/clear/rebuilt/salvage/other (explain further).
b. Also state if you have title or it is being held by a lienholder.
It's true that an accident wouldn't alter a clean title, so is it a clean title? If so, that's all we wanted to know and you could have saved all of this by simply filling in the facts correctly.

well when involved in an accident car is reported to insurance and insurance depending on the amount of damages and amount to repair they determin if title is salvage or clean but because it was in an accident it will not be clean may not be salvage but there will be a accident reported, now if there was little to alot of frame damage then yes it is salvage but rebuilt title. and saying you bought it new may have been new until accident. i worked for allstate.

Forgot about this thread...

I'm not trying to be an asshole but I still don't understand why having the bumper, hood, and fenders replaced would affect the title of the car at all. And where did salvage come into play here?? I hit the back of a pick-up truck going like 10-15 MPH... the airbags didn't even deploy. I drove the damn thing 20 minutes home. As I stated in my OP, the bumper, hood, fenders, and part of the radiator were the ONLY parts damaged in the accident. They were all replaced and painted by Inskip Acura. There has not been one problem with the car since the day I drove it off the lot.

I checked with my insurance company and they stated that a minor front-end collision has absolutely no effect on the title of a car. The car is CLEAN, the title is CLEAN.

Car is still for sale. Now has 37,xxx miles. Send offers if interested.

Agreed. There's no reason why the car would be considered "Salvaged" based on a small fender bender.

Your insurance company would buy the car from you out right if the damage is more than the value of the vehicle. It's pretti clean cut and there should never be any confusion

i think if you take off all the aftermarket parts and change the whole car back to stock, you will get most of your money back, hate to see you lose all that money, at least sell the parts and get something back, car in stock form will seem appealing for those who simply want a car in stock form, your car is clean btw

Really people?? I'm selling this car at an absolutely ridiculous price, and yet I'm still receiving messages asking if I'll go LOWER!?! Seriously!?! Unbelievable...

Still trying to get new pictures... The weather has been horrible here and I haven't had time to wash it on the nice days.

I never put OBO when I updated this thread. If you look at my UPDATE post (#16), nowhere does it say OBO. Whichever moderator updated my thread is the one who put OBO in the price. The only time I had OBO was when the car was priced at $28K.

$23,000 FIRM

I probably left the OBO when I changed the price from 28K to 23K, but you never caught it and I didn't realize you didn't want it to be OBO, so I have now removed it.

So, after looking at the KBB price again, other TL-S's with similar mileage on AutoTrader and what not, and considering the mods I am including, I have come to my senses.

NEW PRICES. FIRM PRICES. FINAL PRICES.

With ALL mods included: $24,000
WITHOUTthe TE37s: $22,000
--->Instead of the TEs, you will get the TL-S 17" stockies, with near new stock Michelins, and a set of 17" Bridgestone Blizzaks with about 10,000 miles on them.

I still think these prices are MORE than fair.

Ron A, please update. Thanks.
