Description:
Hey guys,
As the title states...I'm passively searching for those items to fix up my TL-S and or restore it to more or less factory.
It's funny, over time I've actually had leftovers of those things in my attic but alas, divorce made me leave it all behind.
Figured I'd check in here and see if anyone has any of those things available to start the conversation. I'm not desperate
for anything but I know this is the place to come to see if anyone has a forgotten pile of oem parts after upgrading and probably
moving on from the platform.
Thanks in advance!
Jeremy
- 3G TL-S Jpipe (lower cell count in the 3rd cat than a base, I think)
- Passenger front Door panel from a type S black interior in perfect condition
- Oem UPPER front control arms
Hey @rockstar143 , If I'm not mistaken the 07 TL-S 6MT OEM Upper front control arms share the same part # with the 07 Base TL (Right arm 51450-SEP-A02;
Left arm 51460-SEP-A02).
There is an 07 Base? TL at the Ft. Lauderdale LKQ with rear end damage only that became available on 17Jan20. Search the inventories at all the LKQ's, within reasonable driving distance, you might get lucky.

@zeta
I should technically close this thread since I had no responses I ended up touching up my door panel and actually yesterday I installed the Ktuned adjustable upper control arms. Night and day deferens from the worn bushing skunk2's I had on there.
When I made this I was going to take my chances and find some used but good oem uppers and then maybe add an adjustable balljoint... @CCColtsicehockey reminded me though that when you do that the height is drastically increased on top of the control arm and lessens clearance for hitting bumps.
Anyway...I am still looking for a CHEAP oem Jpipe to see what it makes the car sound like with the High Flow cats and exhaust...although I partially wouldn't be able to stand the thought of bottlenecking the exhaust at the j pipe knowing how well it flows now.
Thanks for looking out, Z...as usual.

Understood.
As I see it, since I went through it for my project CL-S, you'll either have to find a TL-S Jpipe here or somewhere like e-bay or Craigslist et al. The salvage yards, when the cars come in
and before they are placed in the yard, they just 'snip' the cats out and it ruins the J-pipe. Every 2G CL-S or TL-S I looked at was ruined.
Here's the lowest one I could find on ebay. The part # should be 18210-SEP-A62, which one of the pictures displays. It looks like they are taking offers, so check it out.

What a great find...
on the base j pipe wasn't the catalytic further back?
Do you think the "flex" section on that is the cat?
Losing the gas smell and some rasp might be worth it
although I'm not certain about dropping $185 on it although
I will likely be able to recover it with selling the SUPER expensive
V3 RV6 Jpipe.
I appreciate your diligence!

Hey there. I have a stock TL Type S j pipe (and catback) for sale. I am located in Tampa. Feel free to shoot me a message on instagram @nighthawk.black or on Facebook (name is also Nighthawk Black on there) and we can arrange a deal. I'm not too familiar with the A-Zine interface so I may not be able to give timely responses. Hear from you soon. Cheers!
@ua7.tls thanks for the response...
Okay, if I decide to go that route we can figure something out for sure.
Thanks, man.
