I just bought an '06 RSX Type S and have been aware that some folks have had problems with the transmission in both the Type S and SI 6speed cars. Mine is a bit gritty getting into 2nd and 3rd gears....like most of the folks have problems. No popping out of third yet though. Has anyone had any luck with a fix for this yet? Thanks!

 

I have the same problem when shifting into third... feels kinda notchy and not smooth like shifting into other gears.

 

there is an update on the 2nd and 3rd gear synicros. the synicors are not carbon coated and the new one are.

 

also the fluid sux.....switch to amsoil M/T fluid and it should be ALOT better...
