I've been in contact with a salesman at my local dealership about a 2006 RSX Type-S they have and I'm curious about mod avalibility and ease of installation. I'm thinking of buying a car that I can track or drag. I haven't decided yet. Are they easy to work on yourself or would you have to have most of the work done by a skilled tech? How hard would it be to get the engine to 350-400hp? Cost and labor-wise?
I can divide by zero
There are hosts of aftermarket support for the engine and chassis for whichever way you want to go. The limitations is with your budget. As far as drag goes, the chassis is a bit of a pig (read: heavy), but the engine makes power easily. As far as your power goals are concerned, on a N/A setup on pump gas, I've seen around 300 whp ballpark max. If you convert to run on E85, I think the potential is there for closer to around 330ish whp max. On boost, reaching 350-400 whp can come with relative ease.
