Rough ride in a new RSX...

This gurl i'm dating for a week now just bought her RSX (non type-S >=( ) about 3 month ago brand new. I ususally drive my car when we go out (97 3.0CL with Neuspeed springs and KYB AGX shocks) I drove the RSX the other day and hit 4,000 miles on the odom. I was really disappointed in Honda/Acura tho....that car was so bouncy and rough and its bone stock! All the other honda/acura i've driven were smoother then the RSX.

Any of ya think the RSX suspension is rough?

Had them a couple of times as loaners. POS in my opinion. My wife's 1990 Integra GS was a much nicer car at 13 years old than a new RSX.

got one for a loaner. it was terrible. not at all what I expected from an acura. my loaner had like 5k on it and it felt like it was falling apart.

stock rsx (non s) corners faster than my dropped 6sp cl-s with sways. I can take turns about 10 miles fasters than in my cl and it feels more secure, but ur right it is rougher ride but i love the solid feel of the steering(not loose like on the cl).

Yes the ride is firmer than this than it was in my lowered CL. I still enjoy the car, hopefully it will be just good as my Teg GSR, and my 3.0 CL was

Yeah it handle pretty good....but i couldn't push it to that edge..car was too high....and cuz that gurl was in the car =) but it does seem like it hand pretty well...just kinda rough for a gurl like her.

Some of ya remember this.
RSX - Rough Sex (just how the young people like it)
TSX - Tradional Sex
NSX - Nice Sex (just how the old people like it.)

Try playing with the tire pressures. I've found that Acura's/Honda's are pretty sensitive, especially at the rear to pressure being to high or too low. Try about 33 and see if it helps. My CL-S likes 35fr/33rr. If it starts riding rough, I know the rears are off by 2 pounds.

in my loaner RSX's the engine felt like it was fighting being revved up. it was like someone corked the air intake on both of them.

As an owner of an RSX, I'd go as far as saying they missed the stock shock tuning pretty bad. That's why I run a Mugen street setup now.

I drive in my friend's RSX-S quite often. It's got a decent ride IMO. Definitely softer and less harsh than my Z

Suspension problem

Guys.
I have this 2002 RSX, base model. AS you guys already know about the shitty suspension of this model, do you have any idea how to make it better in the cheapest and safest way possible? I really am disappointed about this and I can't change the car any time sooner. Thanks in advance for any advise.

timely bump. I'd post this question as a new thread in the RSX section.

I had a 2004 RSX base with 159000 miles. It takes a very special person to fall in love with this little coupe. Yes its ride is jitter, bouncy, rough, harsh and noisy, but it is a good looking coupe, good mileages, well balance and quick, and it is very reliable. I felt the noise, harshness from every bumps or freeway joints. The vehicle is a four seats but the rear seats are very uncomfortable on 1hr trip.

I've got an 05 non-s. (I'm starting to think thats a stigma) Just had an Accord, 04. The RSX took some getting used to, but after a few days, i loved it. Shorter wheel base than the Accord, so may a tad bit more thumps, but I'm starting to think that I could get it on the road and go to sleep. But,,,I don't think that my insurance company would approve.

Lower it on sportlines. Everything just works better on this car lower.
