question about getting a warranty

Hey,

I just purchased an 06 RSX 5 speed from an acura dealer. I'm not the kind of guy to buy warranties on anything, but this dude was sellin me hard on it. For an extra $2k I would extend the factory warranty (which is up in 11 months) to 2013 or 100k miles (i'd hit 2013 first most likely as the car as only 27k miles)...now this warranty covers everything except wear and tear...to me, 2k seems steep for a warranty ( i don't buy many cars) but he scared me with the whole you never know what could go wrong with the computer system and electronics, so I wanted to see if you guys think that it's worth it

Thanks in advance

2k? Doesn't worth it, and tell you what RSX/Integra has a great reputation of reliability, those old Integra can't been driven to death, go figure. Let's face it, the RSX doesn't has too many electronics, i think 2K should be enough to cover whatever may reasonably fail until 2013, of course all cars are different.
I rather spend those 2K to regular maintenance, alignment, tires, timing belt, do all service acoording to book, and you should be good.
