First off wanna say hi I just bought my rsx n already having issues. But hopefully can get some help. k my check engine light is on code is P0172 -Fuel mixture too rich Anyway, my ecu intermittantly throws a CEL and when it happens, my idle goes to hell. When I go to idle from driving, say.....slowing down in 2nd gear and going to neutral to stop, the idle will dip to 300-500 and come back up to 750. When the CEL is not on, the car will drop to 1000, depending on velocity, and then down to 750, which I think is normal. This idle dip happens regardless of any gear, and any speed. The car has died 3-4 times this way, but it is very rare. Anyone have any idea what's going on.I have sri,headers,exhaust
in the past month I have changed primary o2 sensor,have non fouler on second o2 sensor,changed oil,change tranny fluid, new map sensor, dunno wat else to do

 

Crap don't have much experience with this.

It may be a pretty easy fix though, maybe take it to Acura and ask them to take a quick look. They probably won't charge you, just ask them what kind of sensor could be messed up.

Try unplugging your EGR valve and drive it around. Then tell me how it feels.

when it idles funny, firmly tap the idle air control valve. if u notice any change in rpm, u might have a bad iacv
