DIY TL flip key chip intall

DIY TL flip key chip intall

this is for the guys that got a Acura TL flip key that is converted to work for there RSX.
1. Take the key to a good locksmith and have it cut.
2. program the keys fob using this video
note: use the lock button then programing
3. cut the chip out of the your old key check out this link

4.take the TL key apart all you need is a small phillips screw driver and super glue to hold the chip in place. watch this video

start my removing the small screw




then remove the cover over the key mechanism

then you will see 3 small screws remove them in any order


the metal cover will twist off


remove the spring and the key


place the chip in the compartment and add glue. make sure the chip sit flush within the key head

after the glue is dry reassemble the key


be carefull not to over tighten the spring all it needs is a half turn


place the spring end into the smallest hole


make a half turn and tighten the screws

replace the cover from left to right

note make sure you do not over tighten the screws holding the key in place. cycle the key after every screw to make sure its smooth. if you have any questions pm me
