Advice needed on control arm installation

Hello guys

Working with 2003 acura rsx base
So I currently took on a project to replace the struts and lower control arm bushing. Got the new sshocks/boots/mount on the springs and polyutherane bushings on the arms. I installed the shocks in and I am having trouble putting on the control arm into place the ball joint is lower than the arm. I tried stepping on the arm to push it down but no luck. I tried using a jack but when I jack it up the drive wheel starts to come out towards me which I feel like I could be damaging the CV joints on the shaft . it looks stretched out on the inner CV but no leaks. Is there a trick or order that this is installed ?

What do you mean by "drive wheel"? Hub assembly?

Try loosening the control arm on the inside (to the subframe or whatever it attaches to). This should allow you to rotate the control arm enough to mate it with the ball joint. If I'm understanding you correctly the control arm is secured on one side right now.

Good luck!

Yes the hub assembly, Can the inner CV or CV joint get damaged If I pull it up with a jack ? Every time I spin the brake disc by hand it makes like this clunk noise on the inner CV. Not sure if that's normal or maybe cause I pulled it out a little (2-3 inches) with the jack
