2005 TL rear alignment & control arm

I took my 05 TL in for an alignment after getting 4 new tires and after running the alignment check, they said the right rear tire was misaligned and that it would need a new control arm.

The mechanic said it's a common issue with TL's built around this time because you can't adjust the camber like you can for other cars (I'm pretty sure this is what he said). His proposed solution was to replace the Control Arm.

Is this a common issue for 3rd gen TL's and how much should this repair/replacement cost? I'm not a DIY'er, so don't suggest that...
