My daughters car had the starter go at lunch yesterday. so I got my son to meet me where she was at and we towed it to my house when we arrived there it would not go into park it was in neutral since we pulled it home. I replaced the starter and now I need help fixing the lock out problem the brake lights do all work so was kind of stumped I can by pass it with the key but don't need it that way for a 16 year old girl any help would be appreciated

 

I think near the shifter there is a slot to insert (I used a flathead screwdriver) that unlocks the shifter. I hope I am understanding your problem.
