'02 RSX high idle speed/vibration

New to the site, but really need some help. This past monday, I started up my '02 RSX and immediately noticed a vibration, gutteral sound coming from the engine and a high idle speed of ~1600-1700rpm. As soon as I gave it some gas, the vibration and sound stopped. When I go in reverse, the sound and vibration remains, but not when I'm driving forward and giving it gas. After about 5 minutes, the idle speed goes back down to its normal 5-600rpm and no rumble/sound. One other thing is during the first 5 minutes of driving, if i hit a dip in the road, it seems to make the sound louder (sounds like if you have a flat tire or on rumble strips). I'm thinking maybe a vacuum leak or O2 sensor, or maybe a batch of bad gas (we had some bad flooding here about a week ago and I filled up right after). Appreciate any and all help you guys can give me, I'm a broke grad student and every place here in Baltimore wants at least $90 just to do a quick diagnostic. Thanks!

Moved to RSX in a non-dictatorial manner.

Check idle air control valve and your engine mounts.
Only a guess

Have service take a look at the timing chain. I brought my car in about sluggish performance and a rattle when I start the car, they said nothing was wrong and a week later catastrophic timing chain failure, cam misfires, etc. Repair 1/3 of the price of the car.

It wasn't service having fun. The codes the engine was throwing were all 4 cam misfiring, and the cam position sensor.

cams don't misfire, spark plugs misfire, cams rotate.

That's what I was getting at.

did you get the CPS fixed?
