02' RSX HID Issue (PLEASE HELP)
My HID's went out (started with one going out, then both went out). I bought the car used (private sale) and wasn't too familiar with the system so took it to the dealership, they wouldn't touch it for whatever reason. I also noticed my battery is draining and needs a boost once in a while (battery is only 1 year old), I have a feeling both problems are connected. Before I waste anymore time at the shops and possibly get gouged big time for a DIY job, does anyone know the problem and some solutions?

I would say its a bad ballast if it isnt a fuse.
About a month ago the driver side headlight would go out and I could flick them on and off and they would come on, but now they won't turn on at all (I've also tried yelling at them, nothing).
I would either say a bad ballast(s), or you will need a relay kit (assuming that you have a plug and play kit), sometimes the ballast(s) dont get enough power from your stock wires so you have to tap power from the battery using a relay.
Probably a cheap kit, I got mine from retro-solutions online.
They have a lifetime warranty on bulbs, ballasts, everything.
Also, you said you were turning them on and off. Never ever flash your HID's, this will decrease the lifetime of the bulbs very fast.
And one last thing, HID's actually use less power than the stock lights. So it may be time for a new battery if you need a boost.
