What are common Ilx problems

Hi guys
I recently bought a used 2016 ILX
The first day I bought the car, only after 6 hours of having the car my battery died.
Thankfully, I still have 1 month factory warranty left. So the dealership replaced it for free
So here is my question
What are the common things that go wrong with 2016 ILX before the factory warranty ends?
I would like to replace as many things before the warranty ends because I am worried that it will give me all kinds of problems when it expires.

Currently, the odometer reading is 30000km or 19000 miles.

Also, I am very dissapointed with the speakers. I got a a spec package with els but bass in this thing is really bad. Also if I put bass heavy music, the driver side of the rear rattles. If I give a gentle push down, it goes a way.

Another problem I am having is there are a lot of vibration from the engine when stopped. I don't recall having this much vibration from my previous cars. I can feel the vibration on the seat and the steering wheel.

i just picked up a used 2016 A Spec. I am not experiencing any vibrations that you speak of. take it in to the dealer, while its still under warranty.

So you have the tech package with ASPEC? If you can reproduce the rattle, then bring it to the dealer. Some simple padding might solve the problem. I have an ongoing rattle around my glovebox and the dealer is happy to troubleshoot it every time I come in for service. If it's under warranty, they are happy to fix pretty much anything as long as it can be reproduced.

As for your engine vibrations, it's hard to compare over the internet. I have an RL and the ILX is definitely rougher, in every regard. But the RL has a smooth 6 cylinder.

hope you got a whacked deal on this thing, otherwise I'd say bad investment, and good luck sorting out all the QC issue's with this car.

^Cars are never good investments...
in fact, they are depreciating assets that have yearly expenses.

Thumbs down

^you know what i mean bro, don't be a smart ...

My point was, if your going to buy a car then do it proper, looks like the op Nixn88 made the same mistake as me, and put there faith in a company and they blow it this time around. Hopefully the next batch of remakes/ redesigns are better, nuff said

Now off topic; so I guess;

I've bought lots of as you call it "big ticket" items and only and I mean slim, every now and then have i had more then the expected around of issues. That tells you the design and thoughtfulness efforts that where put into the said failing "big ticket" items was simply made wrong and lacking.

eg. I bought a LG wallpaper 4k OLED TV and it's lived up to what it was made/designed to. "worked as expected" and thats a $11,000 CAD TV

There's lots of things a person would not know till you've owned the car and used it for a few weeks to find the quirky issues defects.

Just like my oven, I wouldnt have known the nuances of it without using it. Sucks, but Cest la vie. Such is life.
Lesson learned.

I have the ELS system and I disconnected the ANC (active noise canceling) module because it makes the sound muddy and garbled. The battery is small so if locked/alarmed and not driven often it will have problems.

This may be nothing, but have you checked the oil level? Sometimes if you overfill a vehicle, you can get weird vibrations at idle and the engine may feel sluggish. I know this is a stretch, but it has happened to me before.

use 92-94 octane, change the splugs, replace the engine air filter, check engine mounts. check /maybe clean MAF, put in injector cleaner who knows whats up!!!

i bet your cabin air filters never been changed, prob blacker then Toby's ASS, and who hell is Toby

since your not a tech and won't really know what your looking for, bring it to Acura to look at!!! I preach and preach to ppl all day long about PM maintenance but 90% of average joe's don't get it, blows my mind.

Other than the mystery vibrations, which might be normal, what else don't you like about the car? For me, it's exactly what I expected for what it cost.
