So my girlfriend likes putting her legs on the dash and decided to knock the air freshener that sits in the ac vent and with it the trim piece around the vent popped out. Now, it doesn’t wanna go back in. The tabs on the trim piece will not reach the ridges on the vent.

please help

 

Is there snap features that go into those slot openings? If so it should just snap in
