Hello everyone,
Hopefully I can get some help with my Acura ilx issue since the dealer is unable to figure it out. When accelerating at a high speed on the highway it is sluggish and makes a very loud noise. It kind of sounds like I have modified my vehicle with a different muffler. I had a diagnostic done but no issues have been found since no codes are on the vehicle. The only thing I got done was an oil change at jiffy lube and now I'm having acceleration issues. Has anyone ever experienced this issues with their vehicle? Thank you

My mom had her oil changed at one and they forgot to put the oil in. She noticed the light on and went right back in.

perhaps there is a hole in the exhaust somewhere...

that would make for a louder vehicle sound, almost like it was modified. it would also make the car sluggish a little bit.
I would put the car on jack stands and start her up while getting underneath it and checking/feeling for air pressure coming out of the exhaust. be careful, the air pressure will be hot.
would also check the oil, just in case jiffy lube didnt fill it up

Thank you both for replying and I will check even though I took it in for a diagnostic at acura and they advised all fluid levels were good because I was concerned with that. They may have missed something so I will recheck it myself. It's just so weird that no codes a popping up so I don't know what the issue could be. Just checking if anyone else had this issue. Thanks

if there's a hole in the exhaust, no codes will show.
I'm only going off the clues you gave me; "louder than normal, sounds like modified car"

rust can eat through the metal piping and cause a hole, or what is otherwise known as an exhaust leak.

That makes sense and I'll get it checked tomorrow. Hopefully this will resolve the issue and I'll update on what I find out.
