i have about 13,800 miles on the car and its only happened 2 times...but just wondering if this has happened to someone else with the 8 speed...you floor the gas and the car goes no where , you hear the engine rev but i feels like the tranny is in neutral but then the car takes off no screetching or anything but it feels like the tranny catches and just goes..have called the dealer and will set an appointment to diagnose, but i can not repeat it, it just happens randomly, like i said its only happened twice

Haven't seemed to have this happen to me, although I had instances when I pressed the gas, and the transmission would feel like the engine is about to die from not getting enough gas, and then it finally shifts like 1-2 seconds later and jolts you a bit, and then finally accelerates. Usually happens when I start up the car in the morning or if it has been off for a while and I start driving it.

same issue along with many others and same response from Acura, it will not duplicate so they say it's nothing. many safety issue with this car and all its problems. the dealer said i can trade in my brand new car for another one. lol , take a loss and have the same thing, really
I have so many issues documented I may file the lemon law.

I have experienced this problem once as well. The vehicle was in drive, I applied the gas, the engine revved, yet the vehicle did not move. And no the parking brake was not on. I let off the gas, and applied it again and it drove.

 

Are there any fixes. What does the dealer say?

 

good luck with your dealer. I have 3 pages documented with problems any my dealer tells me it how the DCT tranny works. I say bull crap. My car hesitates, surges, some days I feel like I am going to get run over other days I feel like I am about to rear end someone. the car is garbage I will take a loss and get rid of it in the spring. it only has 5k on it

 

dealer states it's how it should drive, crazy.... I threw away hard earned money on this car.
