Rather than totally building my running boards I'm modifying a set off the '18 R. First get rid of the red line and add radius to match underbody spoilers

Are these aftermarket? I tried civic ones from a 9thgen sedan but they're not long enough. shy 3/4 of and inch.

It's the factory 10th gen 2018 CTR skirts. They are slightly shorter but will work with modification, lots of modification planned. In the end they will be wrapped with 3m carbon look vinyl that matches the under body spoilers.

Got the epoxy and planning to mill open a 1/2" copper tube so I can use it to make the radius at the outside edge. The radius will match the underbody spoilers better.

I've had an EVO 8 and I did the full TRD on my '11 xb and city driving them is hard on them, having to rebed them is a PIA, if you don't track.

Got the square O rings so I could finish the exhaust tips. I'm pretty happy with the outcome.

If you are referring to the grille bar, it is the factory 2016 with 3M carbon look vinyl wrap added.

Nice, man...
that's a lot of work...
I'm not sure I love it, but I don't have to!
It's funny but it looks like Focus ST tips would
fit into each of the black lower bumper inserts.

I took it to a local shop and told them what I wanted. I assume freehand by the way the guy looked at me when I told him how I wanted the eyebrows.

To be honest, I don't really love it either.
The problem is, it needs reflectors on the back corners and those work so well.
I'm one of those guys that never tints/paints lights. If I don't like the design, I don't buy.
I actually have the tips angled to fit the body lines, trying to make it look optioned rather than custom.

That's why I took mine to a shop. I know my limitations, vinyl, window tint, and pinstripes are no-no's for me.

I've been playing a bit and thought I'd post some process shots.
Making digital mirrors using backup cameras. One pair (switched) looking at the front wheels, one pair facing back. I will also put one (still in housing) up front and center (wanna see curbs when parking).
Part of the camera housing will be LED turn flashers. I just hope my idea of aero doesn't make horrible noise at speed.
After I get the aiming correct I'll start shaping.
I'm using this https://www.homedepot.com/p/Project-...-PP1/203553730
then coating it with this https://www.homedepot.com/p/3M-Bondo...-272/202077784

I took some snaps today and thought I'd share.
I'm really liking the satin black 3M vinyl look. I hope the satin doesn't polish with machine washing.

That's a good looking car man, Great work on the exhaust with cutting/welding it yourself. How does it sound?

Thank you. I got to learn how to TIG weld at the same time, using youtube as a teacher
When it's in quiet mode it's quieter than stock. I tried recording it while driving but the wind noise is louder, even with the foam ball on the mike (or mic if you prefer). Next week I'll have to get out of town and lay my phone at the side of the street to record a drive by.

I suck at this. Too much wind and tire noise in the drive by.
I was able to sorta record some revs. Phone on ground 3 feet behind.
edit: first, valve closed then valve open.

At the end I think it sounded better. Either way it’s just really cool that you did that exhaust yourself

It does sound better with the valve open, but my garage is under someone else's apartment. Between the front seats I have a 3" Stainless Works chambered muffler.
Even with the valve open leaving 2.5" straight thru, that 30" really quiets it down.
She whispers thru this

The exhaust sound is exactly what I was aiming for, that's why I made the chamber cross over instead of a 'Y'. Using reflective and low pressure wave sound modification. If you quit learning, death is soon.
Now that the weather is more conducive, I'm playing again. Didn't like doubling the electric bill, and warming the neighbors.
Feeding the liner,

to make this

Half round to add the radius to match the A-Spec under spoilers.
