First question I would like to address is that some of the readers may have trouble finding the DVD/Nav Dash for a affordable price. I was able to call around to a local junkyard and purchase this for 85$ Unsure of demand but either way there is NO Options at this time of the thread Jan/2024 for aftermarket stereo bezels and this guide utilizes OEM radio panel.

This Harness on the ILX Stereo receiver has the same connections as the 2012-2015 Model Civic CRV base model spec.(see photo)
This guide also retains your Honda IMID* upper display compass and factory back up camera.

Removing the dash is straight forward. we will start by the left hand side by the driver side entry area, use a body trim tool to remove the kick panel under the steering wheel. Check youtube if you want a total visual demonstration. There are 2X Phillips bolts holding the base model radio in place before it can be removed at a angle going forward and then upward removing that upper shelf by the IMID and HVAC display.

Harness connections (See Supplied Photo)
#1 Canbus I/O
#2 Canbus I/O
#3 (New Radio Harness) - Can be modified
#4 Main Power
#5 Media / IMID

#6 Subwoofer (No Connection) - Do not connect
#7 Radio AM/FM Antenna
#8 Aux / IMID / SWC (No connection - Will update) - Do not connect

:Update Log:
Finalizing harness connection #8 for retaining factory Aux to rear of Head unit. Connection #8 keeps IMID on even if out of car / locked. Turns on Honda IMID but does not shut down. (must)
3D Print / Create new lower controls (uninstalled Navi knob controls)

At the time of the post there was zero support. but I also was made aware of this bezel kit that launched in 2024. All credits go to AcuraAudio Garage of Long Island NY for stepping up. I followed them and I know it took a lot of failed prototypes in the process.

I also upgraded to a Sony XAV-AX8100 which is a floating 10" display. In my opinion takes this stereo up a class as far as factory. Also a Bose Spare tire subwoofer in the trunk which I am in love with.
