this is why i think the ILX is the most peaceful car out there. Don't tell me otherwise, I like knowing that my self-proclaimed theory is "true".
RACECARDUH!
The ILX is car of the year! :ghey:

Are you thinking about cutting up the rear bumper, like me, lol?
Really the cowl seems pretty easy to remove. I should remember though what's easy to some is hard to others. I am definitely doing my suspension before anything (UNLESS THIS S/C DEAL IS TOO GOOD TO PASS ON) and I wanna do it complete at once but I plan on going 3" and have already arranged with my friends shop to have the cat back dumped like the factory muffler. I have considered having the bumper cut out, but I can't invision how it would end up looking. My cousin runs a body shop so I could ask him. 9th Gen si's have that nice piece underneath, I figure it would look more like an 8th gen cut out.. they look like they pretty much just have a cut in the bumper.

2014 Si sway bar

Sorry to bring up an old thread this is my first post. I'm looking to invest into a seat bar for my 2014 ILX. Did anyone confirm if the Si sways fit our cars? I was reading on 9thgen forum and apparently the 2014+ Si's have 20mm RSB's and they retail for about $52. If this works for the ILX, I think this would be the best bang for your buck upgrade!

Yes it fits. I, aomechmarine, am hipster status - I installed the JDM SI rear sway bar before it was cool LOL- JDM rear sway for SI was thicker then American SI until I think the 2014 got 1-2 mm bigger. Went from like 18-19 - to the 20mm.

No the JDM bar was bigger for SI. They have Civic type R with much more power- its either 19 or 20mm. i did this mod a while back. You can get it if you just look online, or if you can get with a knowledgeable parts desk guy at a honda dealer.

Yes you will notice some better handling. BUT i have suspension brace bars, im lowered on springs, and I have spacers as well. One thing Isnt going to make it a different car, but a few or several changes will make a big/huge difference.

This is probably the most cost effective suspension mod. Springs would be next, and also the most cost effective cosmetic/ looks upgrade.

Aaronnn sorry to revive an old thread from the dead but are you still in NJ? I've been thinking about the RSB and I wanted to see if you could help me out. I saw you mention Park Ave Acura, that's actually where I bought my car. Lmk thanks.

Thanks for the info, without scouring the threads and truly paying attention to when his last post was I'm not sure how I would have figured that out. Also it would have been nicer if you maybe would have pointed me in the right direction to what I was originally looking for instead of just saying something to try to make me look dumb. I knew I was posting on an extremely old thread and even pointed that out, however I figured it was worth a shot. The worst that would have happened is either someone would have posted with HELPFUL info OR no one would have resoonded and I would have gotten the info elsewhere. For me if he was still in the same area it would have been cool to attempt to link up.

Thanks for letting me know he hasn't been around for 3 years. I truly appreciate your helpfulness! I'm not sure if you realize but you come across as a jerk in a lot of your posts and responses to people. I know sometimes it's hard to convey tone via text, and normally I would have ignored this however you've said a handful of remarks that I just got tired of ignoring.

Thanks for making the community better and more welcoming to another ILX owner. Bravo
