1. I dont plan on turning it in. These cars will last as long as a civic if treated right.

2. Just a couple holes under the bumper. No one will notice. It would be pretty hard to.

Wooo new page. Fresh edit and new shot.
I really love how different this color looks on the wheels with and without ample light.

Hard to believe it's the same color wheels in both shots.

I thought about that. I plan on filling with some black plastidip before and after the install, unless the shop that is doing it has a better idea.

I don't have the time right now, but allow me to make it a bit simpler than photoshopping a new picture.

They'll basically look like this (which is great) minus the hardware and the deep dish.

Or this

And this.

I personally suggest finding something with a lower offset so it has more of a lip. But they'll look great on our ILX. Any mesh design will in my opinion.

Went to edit some shots from today only to find the settings must have been way off on my camera. They came out insanely dark and out of focus... hope my camera is fine. Took some shots with my phone too which came out better but no where near the quality I wanted.

Weird day in general though.
Long story short, last spot I was taking pictures at I ran into some wildlife.
There was a peacock struttin around. I was on one knee taking a picture of my car when I heard some rustling in the bushes. I didn't mind it at all and took a few more shots. Turn around a minute or so later, still on one knee, to see a peacock literally in my face. It just walked straight up to me. After I took some pictures of it it started walking toward the canyon road. Cars whip around the corners quick, as you'll soon see, and I didnt want this gorgeous bird to become road kill in an area its not supposed to even be in.

The general area is pretty secluded. The houses are a few minutes drive apart and straight up OLD. Rickety ass bridges and old stone walls. Knock on the door of the two closest homes and no one was home... I dont think anyone had been home in a decade judging by all the webs and plant life. Which made no sense because there was a freshly waxed el camino and a old 90s si hatch.

I give up and walk back to my car and a motorcycle comes flying around the turn. The dude waves to me then tells me a car crashed 2 miles down the road. I tell him I just knocked on these doors and no ones home. There is a restaurant further up the road. He heads off that way and I get in my car and head toward the accident, now not thinking about the damn bird.

I get to the accident and its a nice ass audi I saw maybe 30 minutes prior fly past me. Car sounded great. I park on the side of the road and run over to the car to see no one inside. Keys, personal belongings, all left behind. Dude just ditched his $40+ car. I figure he was drunk or some shit and bailed.

I drive further down the road to the fire station. I tell a couple EMTs what happened so they can check it out. Drive further down the road and things got weird again. I see two cops pulled over standing outside their squad car backs turned to the street.
My first thought is I need to roll up smart so I dont look threatening driving up to some cops. I pull up next to them and they dont even look at me. If I WANTED to cause trouble both officers would have been on the floor and me gone. Stupid cops.
Anyways, I tell them, they didnt sound too pleased. Then they left. Weird fucking day... heres the shots I got.

The one decent shot I got.

Godzilla

And a smashed audi. My phone blurred the picture of the front I got REAL bad. Not sure why but I deleted that shot. Only thing Ive got is the rear, still looking kinda pretty.

After I left I thought about it and the front bumper was missing. I checked the car out and looked at the front end in depth because I could see the rad support and was interested to see under the hood but it wouldnt budge. But I know fact the bumper wasnt on and I looked at the ground and remember seeing the blacked out audi emblem but no bumper. Fuckin weird.

I kind of wish I ripped the rear visor off the car so I could have tried to fab it to mine. Ah well. Can't beat myself up for NOT being an asshole. hahaha

I did. It was the third I did a while back. I posted it on ilxfoum but forgot here. That may be the route I take before rotiforms.

Ouch, I wonder what happened to that S4. I wouldn't crash it and then just walk away unless I had something to hide

Pretty cool how the peacock just walked up to you while taking photos. That first shot is awesome

Thanks. Im going to go back there with my laptop so I can adjust my white balance correctly. There were 3-4 good areas to shoot. Since I knocked on a few doors to find probably no one living there; ill be back to get a shot on the bridges. Cant wait!!

And my honest opinion is the audi owner was probably drrunk. Ditched the car then called insurance and claimed it missing.

Assholes run rampant in my valley and surrounding areas. People ditching cars isnt unheard of if theyre drunk or have something on them. Ive even known a couple people to have done it. My best friend being one of them about a decade ago. Hahaha

17 looks great if you want to utilize an oe wheel. Aftermarket, I say 18 to fill the wheel gap a bit. 19s max Id say.

Mine came with Michelin Pilot HX MXM4 215/45/17's

I would never buy these tires again! Their water shedding ability is less than poor, to me. I'd be hydroplaning if somebody spat on the road! Too much rain down here, at times, to have tires that act like they want to float like a boat!

According to TireRack your stockies aren't that bad! http://www.tirerack.com/tires/survey....jsp?type=GTAS I'd take yours over mine, which is further down the list.

got the same tires, omg these Continental's are trash. I can't believe Acura even put these on lol.

I'm thinking about getting yoko sdrives, ive had them in the past during the summer seasons and they held up pretty good in the rain too...

LOL Do the hybrids come with lesser grade tires or are you guys getting ripped off? Mine came with Michelin's and they are great.

You have to understand these are all season tires.

I do realize their purpose, but for me, poor water traction.

These tires were simply not made for what you expect. You need specific tires if youre looking for specific performance.

Yeah, I'll give you that. They aren't made for near the kind of driving we want from a modded car, but I did expect more from this tire even if my grandmother was driving on them, and she'd be really old.

I'd imagine (but not sure) that the hybrid has some sort of low rolling resistance tires, for better MPG.

That may be true, different compounds etc. TireRack did a study on these new types of tires and they supposedly can improve MPGs up to 1-2mpgs, although I'd rather get traction and safety than extra mpgs when I already have the hybrid.
