Trading up my 2014 ILX Dynamic Lease for a TLX?

Hey guys,

I've been thinking about trading up my 2014 Black ILX Dynamic lease for a 2015 2.4L TLX with Tech Package lease.

I leased the ILX back in February and I really do love the car. Its sporty looking, plenty of power, awesome gear shift, and nice interior. I traded in my old 2005 Acura TSX when I got it and I was a little underwater on it so I didn't get the best deal I could.

But anyways. The incentives and promotions they have going on with the TLX is pretty crazy. It looks like they are really trying to get these off the lots and onto the streets.

I was thinking about trading in my ILX Dynamic lease for a TLX Tech lease.

Stats about my lease:
Year: 2014
Miles: 6300
Buyout: $27,750

I figure that Acura would finagle the buyout price a little and let me put a down payment on a TLX (prob 2Gs or so) and ride away in one.

What do you guys think??? Its not set in stone. I love my ILX and if they said no it wouldn't be a big deal. The deals on the TLX are just crazy and thats a super nice car.

It is a super nice car and the deals are pretty good.

I personally would be happy with the 2.4 as long as I had navi. The v6 would be SICK too but again I need navi.

If you dont loose money then make the trade!!

I have already gone over my miles and have done a mod or two that required small holes into the car... one would be very noticable. Yes it is an OEM part so not sure if the dealer would demand that be returned to how I bought it. As well acura has the "friendship" so even my over milage may be waved if under a certain amount if I trade to an acura with them again.

I however LOVE my ILX as well and believe it is a bit easier to tune. Now it wont be as fast, period. if if power is your goal then the TLX is the way to go. The ILX is a lot like the civic so it is just easy to mod with a lot of parts already fitting from the Civic. So for it I am leaning to sticking with the ILX, simply because I have enjoyed what I have done and feel I still have more I can do than I would on the TLX platform.

I'm with you in trading though. TLX is such a sick car!!
Have you seen this thread on a recent purchase??

Sick as in "Ill"? You need to keep your car for awhile or you will get a heavy depreciation whack. You did not say what your monthly was?

I feel like Acura might be willing to make a deal. They want the TLX on the streets, they'ed come out even on my ILX lease, and I'd put a couple of Gs down on a TLX Tech. Its a win-win for everybody.

I put 1400 down on my ILX and my payments are 380 a month. I was a little underwater on my 2005 TLX I traded in when I got the car so thats why my payments are so high.

I upgraded on Friday from my leased 2013 ILX to the TLX. Buyout was $24k and I got the V6 with tech down to $39195 (not including $1000 incentive and $500 accessory). Dealer bought out my car with 28,000 miles (and 18 months early before lease end) for $20k and rolled over the difference of $4k into the lease. So effectively no down payment. I put down $2k and monthly is $630.

Not bad man. Hope you're happy. TLX looks like a great car. I havent seen one with the full lip kit. Do it. Looks great in the ads, very sporty/aggresive look.

Sweet! That's what I'm looking to do. My buyout is about 27750 so I'm hoping not to lose much. If they wanna sell a TLX. They're gonna have to work with me.
