I would like to cut out the three button holes, make it one big hole, then put something functional there like a change holder or card holder of some sort, maybe even an extra usb charger port. Has anybody done something similar? Could you post a pic?

Honda has been including those blanks for decades!!!
google for some ideas!!!
off the top of my head; people have put radar detector warning lights there, fog light switches, any kind of switch really...
I like your idea of USB charging port. well, now that I think about it...where would you put your device? probably not a good idea for a charging port right there.

 

I hate those blanks. Even on my 06 RL, which was a top of the line model in 2006, I have a blank. I think in Japan it was one of those features we didn't get, such as night vision.

 

Only had one blank on the left on my tech plus package. I ended up putting a base knob on it. Looks like it's part of the car. Didn't mess with the other ones because those are the sensor buttons for me.

 

Why did you put a base knob on your tech plus package? Why not a tech plus knob?
