Here are a few pictures of my 2004 TL 3.2L with 247,100 miles on it. It has been up and down the east coast from as far as New Hampshire to Georgia, as well as all the way to Ohio. However most of the miles comes from my Mom who bought this car brand new in April 2004 and had to drive around 50 miles a day to work for 9 years. Factor that in with the amount of driving I do every year (around 20,000 - 30,000) and you end up with 247,100 miles and 13 years of longevity. Here are some things that have been done to the car since purchasing it:
- Many, many oil changes and services
- Water pump and brakes
- General maintenance
What doesn't work anymore? Nothing too important
- Some dashboard lights no longer work (A/C controls + hazards)
- NONE of the steering wheel buttons are lit anymore
- Bluetooth audio only occasionally works
- Rear view mirror tint is permanently stained on the glass
- Front Passenger door doesn't stay open
- Left front speaker (above steering wheel) makes a buzzing sound
- Subwoofer rattles occasionally
- Front bumper paint is chipped, a lot
- Various dings and dents over the years
Seeing as most of those things are convenience features or cosmetic, it's not too big of a deal. The car drives as if it were new, and boy is it fun to drive.
Way to keep it going strong!!! Is it AT or MT? Can't wait to see how many miles it can go!
