Thinking about buying a 2.4MT ILX.

Hey guys.

I've pretty much decided to get a 2.4MT ILX but I'm unsure if I should get the 2014 model or should I just wait it a bit longer for the 2015 model? Anybody have any ideas of what may change with the new model refresh?

It's a hoot to drive.

The only thing that could possibly change with the 2015 model, I think, is to make the Tech package available. I think we'd have heard by now if that was going to happen. Acura's been busy readying the TLX so I doubt the ILX will get any refresh for at least another year or two.

Grab the '14 if you're ready. I think the mid-cycle refresh on the ILX is set for the 2016 model year. More emphasis being placed in TLX & NSX right now. Look forward to having you join the ILX fam. Good luck & keep us posted.

Ok. I'm planning to get the car at the end of the month so I'll post back when I get it. Can't wait to join the ILX Family.

Just get ready for a tight gear box. I am a seasoned manual driver and I have ground out 2nd gear far too many times on this car.

Well I bought my ILX about 2 weeks ago. I'm loving the tight gear box. Makes it a lot easier to drive when I wanna relax and just cruise. Just going into 6th is a little awkward coming from a 5 speed car but I'll get used to it over time.

hey azn1art, did you pick up an ILX yet? if youre gonna be buying brand new.. hopefully theirs a sale going on or if you can.. buy it thru the costco program.. i did last year and i pretty much paid, what the dealer paid for it.. with less hassle. but theirs nothing wrong with buying it pre own too. good luck.
