Question Taking the rear seats out

Hi, I've searched the forum and found several guides on how to take out the rear seats but none are for the ILX specifically, and I don't think it's the same. Can someone help a noob please?

What about the Civic? The platforms are the same, so all the bolt patterns and what not should be the same. If not, taking the rear seats out of any car should be a similar task.

The thing is I don't think there are any bolts... there are just these 2 plastic latches that you're supposed to pull out using just fingers. There is a video where a guy explains how to do it, but it's from a different model. Mine has the same 2 latches, but I can't figure out how to pull them.

To remove the rear seats completely you'd have to pull the plastic piece under the bottom part of the seat, then to remove the backing a there are about 6 bolts.

What for? – Someone lost a ring behind the seat on the side and looks like the only way to get there is to remove the bottom cushions.
Trentimus, the problem is I can't figure out how to pull out the plastic pieces. I can grab them with fingers, but then what? I tried pulling, pressing and pulling, turning, twisting, pressing on the top of the cushion and pulling... nothing works.

Best thing to do is grab both sides with your index finger and thumb. You squeeze the clips and then they slid straight forward (towards you/driver&passemger seats) make sure you get both sides up or it will simply fall back into the hole and you'll have to start over. The seats have a center piece that still hold it to the bottom of the car so don't go thinking you can just rip the seat padding off at that point. Just lift it up and see if you can find your ring. Ill try to video it if I can.. No promises I am bad with video

Not sure why it's not working right now but check on it, I guess.
