I have searched online and have been unable to verify, but does anyone know if the sharkfin antenna is the same size on the CR-Z as it is on the ILX? I know older Civic SI's used smaller ones.

Sorry I know its a strange question but I thought I would see if anyone here knew.

I don't know if this is an accurate indicator, but both the crz and ilx in crystal black pearl has the same exact part number for the sharkfin:

I guess instead my post shows different part numbers, so most likely they are different. But can't say anything about the size, you'll have to wait for Colin's reply.

 

Comparing just the pictures from your link they look off. But I think they just sit on the curve of the roof so they might be swapable still.

If they are not the same, does anyone know how easy they can be swapped? Are they Screw on it double side tape? Sorry I am not very familar with these types of antennas...LOL

 

IMO, they're not the same. The ILX seems slightly wider, especially towards the front. There is a slight 'horseshoe' contour to the base of the fin on the ILX, whereas the CR-Z is straight sided.

Wow... I was just behind a CR-Z at lunch and his looked pretty much the same, granted it was from a distance I was behind him and next to him for a few blocks... LOL

It may have been thinner but it looked really close to the same shape

 

Confirmed! They are different ilx seems to be a little longer than the CR Z s shark fin
