I know Acura offers 5 year warranty against rust/ corrosion, but I live in snowbelt region where they literally pour salts in winter time.

Do you think it would be good idea to have rustproofing done on ILX or do you guys think the current Honda/ Acura vehicles are good enough against corrosion as long as the car gets under body car wash regularly in winter?

 

Depends. It does already have a underbody coating but more never hurts.. How much is it to get it done?

 

Don't forget that the si also has a lot of body panels underneath which block a lot of salts and water from the underbody.
