Hello all...

Unfortunately, I had the privelage of some dude's shopping cart scratching the paint within the rear 'A' emblem on the trunklid and damaging the emblem itself. I was considering just removing the damaged emblem and replacing it with a red or white aftermarket 'A' emblem to temporarily cover the damage. The height of the OEM emblem is around 4 1/4 inches (11cm). Is there a universal fit application out there in that size that would do the trick? I'm having a hard time finding one that will work.

yikes. seems like only an OEM one would work.

 

Yea, the oem A is bigger than the typical aftermarket ones....plus, the A emblem has a curvature to it

 

Anyone taken the A off??? Is it just 3m taped to the trunk lid or is there prongs too?

 

Someone on ilxforum confirmed they have prongs as well.
