Phones other than iPhone and ILX?
I'm due for a phone upgrade and am thinking about scrapping my iPhone 3 but want to make sure whatever phone I buy will work with my ILX for making phone calls *and* importing my contacts.
What phones have you used that definitely do (or do not) work with the ILX?
I'm leaning toward the Galaxy 3 but before I make this decision, want to be sure it will work with the car.
I'm also considering a Windows phone since I've been asked to test Windows 8 at work on PCs and tablets and the phone is part of the whole Windows "ecosystem" but am wondering if this phone will work with the Acura ILX.
Thanks!

You can check the compatibility on Acura's hands free link site. I know my Droid 2 works and I'm about to get a Droid Razr M. Not sure if it helps, but I'm sure you won't have a tough time as HFL is pretty good with compatibility

I know my galaxy nexus does pair with the car, but the text message feature doesn't work or isn't compatible
just curious when it comes to voice dialing, is there anyway to go "dial" and say the numbers? or do you have to be at a standstill then click the phone option and dial the number with the turning knob?

The iPhone 4S with iOS6 works fine. The only phones that officially support the text message feature are certain BlackBerry models.

Say "123 456 7890"
Say "OK"
Pretty sure that's it, doing it from memory not in the car. There might be an extra step.

sfguy has the tech version, which has voice command options for the HFL, unlike the premium package.

My droid 4 will synch with the ILX. I can play music through google play, and I can also get voice directions from the gmaps through the bluetooth connection. i have had no problems with it.

Thanks all. I went with the Droid DNA. I love the phone, and both the text and call features work with the ILX *BUT* the phone doesn't have a micro-SD slot. I didn't even think to check since every Droid ever made in the past has had this. Fortunately, I use an iPad for music and video so this isn't an issue--I'm never going to fill up the 16 gb base memory with contacts or appointments--but this may be an issue to others considering this phone.

I got the Droid Razr M. Best phone for $50 imo. Everything works great and I can even see who texted me (vs my Droid 2 which wouldn't show who sent the text). I'm so happy that my phone is completely compatible with HFL.

Androids and Iphones
I was testing out the compatibility with different phones, it seems to work flawlessly with every phone I've tried (given of course it is a smart phone with bluetooh). These included:
Iphone 4s / 5
HTC MyTouch 4g
Blackberry (ver. ?)
Galaxy S
Nexus 4
Iphone 4s / 5
HTC MyTouch 4g
Blackberry (ver. ?)
Galaxy S
Nexus 4
