yep, before next summer we're going to the 2.95" pulley, upgraded clutch, limited slip, vit's aftercooler and Hondata traction control. would love to see 320/250 type #'s. But buying a jeep first, don't want to rack up the miles on the ILX. Want to keep around 9,000/Year
tons of dough and need a break. If you include labor costs I'm probably $45K into this son of a bitch right now. Wheels/Tires/Flashpro+Tune/Supercharger/I/H/E alone were around $9,500 installed.

Why dont you want to put miles on the ILX? It seems like the perfect daily to me... even with the SC... better than daily driving a turbo anyways.
Sadaat got a daily too to stop putting miles on his ILX. I guess Id rather buy a track car and make this my daily verse buying another daily.

well...want to keep re-sale value decent and want to keep engine miles low, especially when we're talking 300+hp next year. Shit can't last forever.
In terms of what I paid a mechanic for, bunch of random shit. I live in a townhouse condo on a massive hill which makes doing the work myself pretty tough. so the rear swar bar, allignments, downpipe exhaust (twice!), wheel/tire mounting and balancing, lowering springs, hood wrap, paid a buddy to help with the bumper cut and the hushmat, slotted rotor install. Just a bunch of shit, all adds up though....
I also have the jeep XJ side of me and have the desire to build an absolute beast. not more worrying about speed bumps or rock chips. Cherokee on 35's won't give a damn .

Oh yeah that'll all add up!!
And I still can't imagine the ilx not being the daily. Just my mentality though. I want an s2k also. Braaa braaaaaa

Just checked IG. Youve got some competition now. Aaron... Slammed ILX is almost done with his Kraftwerks SC. Wonder how much power that one will push out.
...also wonder who will be the first turbo ILX.

Depends on the mods on the car, the last one I had on my dyno made just over 300whp, but makes absolutely no torque. Once you slap an aftercooler on the CT-e kit it just owns low/mid. Different strokes for different folks (I carry both setups), but I prefer to make lots of torque everywhere, not just 6k+ rpm.

so this thing up in Seattle and had to take a picture. Never seen something so ugly (sorry to whose ever this is but come on really?) On another note I see tons more ILXs in the Puget Sound than anywhere else I've traveled to. See at least 3-4 a day

Been a while since I posted on my thread here. Saving a little more coin then going down to see Vit again. Will be installing an Exedy Stage 1 Clutch with the Exedy HF02 Flywheel. Vit's aftercooler, 2.95" Pulley for the blower, 4 Bar Map Sensor and new injectors.
Might be putting the civic OEM LSD but i'm a bit on the fence on that one right now.
Can tell right now the stock clutch can't handle anymore TQ. Barely push the pedal in and it disengages going from 3rd to 4th - I'm talking like pushing the pedal in 1" or so. Anyone claiming to have over 210 Lb/Ft of TQ at the wheels on a stock clutch is probably full of shit. oh and FYI I have 11,250 Miles on my car.
I'll post some pics/dyno charts when I get the work done. Hoping to break 310whp and 250Lb Ft.

Didn't want to start racking up miles on the supercharger so I bought a Jeep. Got it bone stock, was an old State Agriculture Dept rig. Fixed it up over the last couple months and now this is what she looks like

Not all of us have the luxury of SoCal weather! Rained hard yesterday and supposed to rain Friday/Saturday. Car is too dirty for a photo shoot and probably worthless to detail it until I see a nice dry stretch. Hopefully next week...

Thanks man! 15 months and only 11,500 miles on the thing!
I used a self adhesive 3M type wrap. Had to spray the antenna - wraps really don't work well on super curvy surfaces (like side mirrors).

This thing is sick! I'm contemplating doing one for my winter ride. Did you get the 4 cylinder or 6? What suspension and wheel set-up is that. Ah! Can you tell I'm a little excited.

1998 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L Base Model. No power windows/locks. It didn't even come with a cassette player. 1 owner - State of Oregon, came with all service records. Dept of Agriculture rig. Here's a summary from those who care:
Rubicon Express 3.5" Super Flex Kit with Mono Tube Shocks
Bushwhacker Fender Flares - cut almost 3" of Fender to allow bigger tires with no rubbing issues
33x12.5 Pro Comp Muds on Crager soft 8 15" wheels/center caps
Iggee custom fit seat covers (actual look really nice and well worth the $400 - looks like they are the real upholstery, black leather)
Weather Tec Floor mats all around
Rhino Lined Rocker Panels
Smittybilt Rear Bumper with Hitch and D Rings
Rough Country Front Bumper with Stinger Bar and D Rings
Badlands 12,000lb Winch
Header to Glass Pack - no cat, no extra pipes. super loud!
72MM Thorttle Body
AFE Power Intake
Optima Yellow Top Batter
Warrior Safari Rack with Axe, Shovel, High Lift Jack and Full Size Spare Tire
5% Tint
Alpine head unit with speakers/Bluetooth
Remote Starter
And I have a 32" LED Light Bar but haven't installed yet
Downsides - All those parts are super heavy and have bogged her down pretty good. Couple that with the fact I should re-gear it with 33" tires anyways and freeway driving sucks bad. Barely can keep 60mph pace on any sort of hill.
This summer I have big plans. Putting a Dana 44 with 4.56 gears on the rear and a 4.7L Stroker under the hood. Adds over 100 ft/lb and 75hp right out the gates plus a 3 year warranty. That should help with the freeway driving
Wrong forum for a jeep but what the hell right?

Hey bro whats up? Its a pretty obvious assumption that I lost power with my big ass wheels. Based on your posts you seem like a very knowledgeable on the whole speed modding aspect of a car, what would you recommend I do first in order to gain some power, truthfully I really wanna go for outer looks first, so my oem body kit is essential for me but once I get into engine modifications what should i do first???
