Which should raise concerns.

I guess it may but everyone has their taste. One see's a mod on one car and may do it to their car. In the end, people like what they like. For me, it's a maybe on blacking the chrome. I might actually keep the chrome and get the hybrid inserts for the front to match.

At risk of sounding like I am just trying to be different, I would be upset if someone's car looked almost exactly like mine.

I for one am not a fan of the black on the grill or the window trim. Love it on the roof with the gloss though. To each their own.

If all goes as planned the Super Charger will be ordered tomorrow. We'll see....

Also just ordered a Tanabe front lower tie bar.

Gametime. Supercharger ordered. Install sometime in mid-August along with the PRL CAI w/Battery relocation kit. Went with the 3.6" Pulley. Should add around 70whp which will bring the car realistically to around 260+/- at the wheels which is a 95whp gain over stock. Torque should be somewhere in the 205 range which is 50ft/lbs over stock.

Going with the CAI will allow room in the engine bay for a future aftercooler if I decide to upgrade to a 2.95" pulley which generates around 320whp. Won't do that this year but when I get a commuter car and an upgraded clutch..... you betcha

Also wrapping my side mirrors the same color as the roof on Friday.

Maybe someone can learn from my mistakes on this one:

So I paid for my side mirrors to be wrapped in 4mm semi-gloss black (same as the roof) and it's nearly impossible to make that thick of wrapping adhere smoothly to the curves of the mirrors. Got the thick stuff to help protect from rock chips, etc. Tore them off after 12 hours. Tried fixing myself with no luck. After all that I ended up plasti-dipping them and using the "Glossifier" spray on top. To be 100% honest, turned out SOOO much better than the wrap and was a fraction of the cost. Now instead of it matching my roof, the mirrors match the window trip, more of flat black vs. semi-gloss.

Thought this might help at least 1 sole out there.

I believe team3d got some black mirror covers. Don't think he said they were just a wrap so that seems like the best route to take.

I just won't put plastidip on my car again. I don't like the texture.

don't disagree with you there at all. but the wrap was a waste of $100 for sure. the glossifer helps a little bit to make it look like it's real paint w/clear coat though.

Agreed. Gives it some shine in the picture.

Where as the one spot I still have dip, my rear reflectors, I used smoke which is has no shine and looks real dark in photos (which I have no issues with). Only time it bugs me is when Im cleaning on the weekend and have to whip the reflectors down. They just feel so gross with PD. lol

And I have to say I am really happy with the 225s. I probably would have gone with the 215 had I not briefly talked to you when you got the new tires. 215 would have allowed me to fit 25mm spacers in the rear easy. Not so sure now. I may just straighten the wheels out by fixing the camber which would make it appear more flush without so much neg camber.

Do you think you could fit another 5-6mm in your rear wheel well? It's 25mm or nothing for me since my work wheel dual bolt pattern wont fit the oem studs unless I grind them down 5mm+.

Hey OSU, great idea! So is the "Glossifier" what is used on the window trim too, or is that something else? I think black-ing out the window trim is my next move. Yours looks spot on! Well done again

Jon- We'll I'm running same size wheel (slightly diff offset) and tire as you with same h&rs. If you drive alone most of the time you will have no issues, with passengers you will rub....I do. Not Terrible and not causing damage but it does rub a bit. But my car might be heavier with bigger engine? Just thought of that

BMW - I used hard but flexible plastic molding on the window trim. Bought from my local window tint guru. Cheap but super durable and easy to cut and stick

You car is heavier but only by 8lbs.
I figured in the spacers on your and my car if your wheels are indeed 45 offset.

Yours is the orange one, so yeah if you rub I rub. No homo.
Damn, should have gone 215. LOL

Maybe Ill look into getting my fender liner rolled. Wonder if that will stop any rubbing Id get.
I should really get some extended studs and just pick up some 10mm spacers for the rears and call it a day.

I think rolling the Fender liner will stop most of the rubbing and that's what I'm doing in a few weeks.

Are you running natural camber or do you have a camber kit??

If you do then I should be perfect with 25mm.
If not then I'll rub for sure. Meaning I should just get some camber kits and the positive camber will make it a lot more flush.

Either works for me. Fixing the camber is the best option but costs more.

I wouldn't call it a fight. More a showing of cards.

Cant wait to see the SC installed. Maybe then you can help liven this place up Mr 200.

Did you ever roll your fenders?

Not yet but I do need to, for some reason it only consistently rubs on the rear passenger tire - and I'm the only person in the car usually.

Info for those who might be interested in doing the CTe SuperCharger. Here's what we decided on:

Blower with the 3.6" Pulley - Not the most powerful but safe and doesn't need cooling, I believe the base is 3.8" so we'll get a bit more power than that hopefully
ZDX Throttle Body
PRL Cold Air Intake with the Battery Relocation Kit
NGK Spark Plugs
550cc Injectors
Filled the Motor Mounts with Polyurethane - Already Done

I believe I remember you saying you got an alignment but it may be off if you are rubbing there only.

Awesome
I'm currently running the RE30's 18x8 +44 with a 25mm spacer which puts it at +19. 225/40/18 Tires lowered on H&R springs. I only rub in the rear on hard bumps even with a passenger in the car. I have my driver side seat replaced for a lighter bucket so that may have some affect.
