Thanks Tyson. It was your blog that spurred me to look at and ultimately buy one. Don't remember if you saw my thread on switching from our ZDX and the Economics of making a change. I would have gone with body kit as I love how it looks on yours but it would have made a big question mark regarding the savings I was getting making the switch. Mind you if we put as many miles on as you the gas savings to us alone would have it a no brained to change.

Terry, no doubt you're already missing the ZDX but the ILX is a fun new ride with the MT. Hopefully you've got some technical curvy roads in your area where you can put the 6-speed and suspension to work - that's where the car shines in my opinion. Have fun with it and enjoy the ride. Anxious to hear your feedback as we both start racking up the miles.

congratulations! I'm looking at getting the 2.0 tech soon for my wife. She doesn't want anything else extra except the 17's. If I may ask, did you preorder the car with the 17's or was yours on the lot with them on already?

Put some time in on the weekend and it was a pleasure to drive. Enjoying the 6mt, the gas mileage is quite good and it handles quite nicely. Still have to get used to it though as the SHAWD was so confidence inspiring on my other vehicles so I need to find where the limits are on the ILX.
We went on our big Costco run and the trunk handled the load very well. I also got the Led lighted door sills put on this weekend at dealers cost. Wow, what a time consuming process. 18 pages of instructions, 95 line items, and the number of things they had to remove and replace is crazy. They should have prewired with plugs in the harness at the factory, probably would have cost $5.00 in parts, instead of 3 hrs of labour.
Waxed it this weekend as well as the rains came again. Now it is as smooth as a baby's butt. Clay bar wasn't really necessary. Did a few areas and nothing was coming off on the clay so went straight to my Autoglym HD and orbital polisher.

Gas mileage to this point
We only have about 700 km's on it so far and the gas mileage is averaging
7.8L/100km. That is 36.22mpg/imp gallon which is what we have up here or
30.16mpg/US gallon for our friends to the south. The ride is very nice in our opinion and pretty quiet, the 6mt is beautiful and it handles quite nicely in the dry and the wet. Nice noise from the engine and exhaust when you run those revs up too.
We will see how she does as the engine loosens up.

Avatar has finally been changed, no longer my beloved ZDX. The more we drive the ILX the more we enjoy it and appreciate it for what it is. A small, nicely appointed, economical 4 dr sedan, that has a great ride, handles very well and catches people off guard as to how quick it is.

You're debadged too? Nice, so am I...I feel like it looks a tad bit cleaner. What percentage tints do you have? Maybe you should start a build thread.

Yeah, it adds a dimension to the back. I got the spoiler a few weeks after getting the car. Paid $399 including tax and install.

I see you are really racking up the miles on yours, 18,000 miles +. that is about 29,000 km's compared to my just over 5000km's and you have had yours about 2 weeks longer than me. If any problems develop on the ILX you will be the first to know I am sure.

$399 installed for the spoiler! I'm definitely buying that!

It is $564.00 incl tax and installation up here. Thinking about it, should have done it before my wife retired too. I am sure the owner would hook me up with a better price though. I should stop by and see him.

Yes, from dealer. They did owe me a favor but regardless. I was able to negotiate that same price with another dealer. Just use that 15% coupon they send to you after the car purchase/lease. That coupon and some slight negotiating should get you at that price.
