New ILX interior mock up
Was just a little bored and wanted to know what a ILX interior would look like with some updates and a twist to the color pallets.
I used the RDX center stack with the MDX touch screen and i-MID display between the gauges. I started out with a 2.0L but added the manual and 3 pedals but left out the red gauges as we can save those for a.. ahem.. Type-S?
-4 displays.
-Large screen up top displays map and directions.
-Small screen directly below constantly displays time, climate control settings and current audio channel and source.
-Touch screen below the small screen displays audio functions that are not in button form such as seek/ skip/ scan and also shows meta tag data and can list XM channels in a menu to choose form. Swipe the screen like you would a tablet and it will show the navi map to allow you to drag and zoom. Tap a "Enter Destination" function and a keyboard comes up for you to quickly punch in a address. Swipe the screen again and you come to a "Main Menu" that displays shortcuts back to Audio or Navi (if you don't feel like swiping backwards) along side "System Settings" and "Tools".
I could probably remove some of the physical audio buttons like the sources but oh well.
Espresso A.

Ebony A

Parchment

Espresso B

You name it

Ebony B

Model shown* 2016 ILX Advanced SH-AWD 6MT.. lol
Also, assume contrast stitching. Was too tedious to do.

^^ I'll take THAT exterior with the Ebony B interior and NON THUMPING rear shocks!! That would be the BEST looking car Acura in its lineup!
You are insanely talented!! It is such a shame to see all this amazing work being limited to cyberspace....
I wish I had clout with Acura.....I'd get you a job IMMEDIATELY.

Nicely done.
I think there are too many screens though and you should update the steering wheel to use the new scroll wheels instead of the buttons. I would suggest removing the small LCD strip as that information is all redundant since you can adjust the lower display to always persist most of that information anyhow. if you are going to keep the physical controls for the radio, then maybe keep the volume control arrangement from the MDX and add the row of preset and tuning buttons below the screen and above the HVAC. This would make it more easily accessible and allows you to bring the entire lower screen arrangement up and closer to the driver's sight lines.

I understand that there si a lot of screen in this new dash, but they each serve a reason and could keep the clutter down on the Navi screen and touch screen.
That skinny screen constantly displays the radio channel, climate controls and clock. nothing more.
The touch screen allows you to swipe through 3 main menus: Audio, Navi and Settings.
Under Audio you can choose a source.
Under Navi you can use your fingers to zoom, drag and place new destinations as well as type in new destinations via virtual keypad.
Under settings you pretty much get every setting you want.
Skip forward, backwards and scan are always present on the Audio screen and the Navi screen, allowing you to have control of the radio stations constantly.
So yeah, in a way it's a bit confusing still and maybe too cluttered at first but it looks more in line with the rest of the Acura line up and has a intended purpose to have important information displayed constantly without flipping through layers of menus to change something.

This looks so awesome... my absolute favorite is Espresso B... the only thing I would change is the dashboard... maybe add a fake leather or some other material to the section with the vents... to break up the ashy/dusty black plastic color and make it look more premium. I cannot stand the Acura sea of plastic dashboards that they have in all vehicles (minus the RLX and ZDX).
