Sup guys. Took my 2007 MDX Sport in for new brakes all around and a B13 service this morning. They gave me a nice ILX Hybrid for my loaner. Its a pretty nice car! I am suprised at how roomy the ILX is inside. I am 6 ft tall and weigh 200 lbs and I feel comfortable in it. The auto stop thingie at traffic lights will take some getting used to but it is pretty cool.

My wife owns a 2007 Milano Red TSX so I am glad I got it for the day cause hers might be due for being traded in soon, its about to hit 100K. This might be a good replacement, althoug I dont know if I would get the Hybrid. Will probably get the 2.4 w/ an automatic in 2014 (hopefully they offer it).

Anyway I just wanted to pop in and say you guys drive nice cars

 

Coming from a 2012 tsx, I though the same thing...so I bought it, lol. Unfortunately, the 2014s won't be offering a 2.4 auto.

 

Glad to hear you enjoyed your time with the ILX. The Hybrid isn't for everyone but it's good to see Acura getting into the game in that regard. Btw, 100k on your wife's Milano Red TSX is nothing. Barely past break-in!

 

Yeah its a toss up for us right now because she loves the 2013 Milano Red TSX Special Edition. Hers is VERY close to being paid off so we arent sure what to do. Only problems with it we have ever had with the 2007 are a/c needing a recharge at 70K and the seat belt tensioner broke. Neither of which are a big deal though. Only color my wife will own is red lol.

 

Too bad the ilx doesn't come in red. I think it'd look sharp.

 

I agree with 4cruizn though.. 100K miles is nothing, especially if it's almost paid off.. you need to put at least another 100K miles on it while it's paid off to really get your dollar worth!

 

Agreed. I wanted red. First color that came to mind when it was time to order the car. But, I soon found out the only available red was "Crimson Garnet" and I didn't like it nearly as much as Milano. To this day, I don't think I've seen anyone here on the forums post pics of their Crimson Garnet ILX. It's rare.

 

I saw one in person. Driving at night, in the city, and freshly cleaned, I have to say I really admire the color. It's very sharp and looks quite elegant. Then again, it's not particularly sporty looking.

 

In pictures it's nothing dazzling. Definitely something when I saw it in person I was like "Woah, that's Crimson Garnet?" Very nice color, the blue is really catching too.

 

My dealer has a crimson garnett in stock. It looks nice in person.

A Milano Red ILX Type S would look sick. Acura are you listening?

 

with like a charcoal gray grille, accents and wheels.. then a special ducktail spoiler. ^_^
