ARE ILX being blown out?
With the 2016 right around the corner, my two local dealers still have quite a bit of 2015 inventory.
Are they required to get rid of the 2015, to get their 2016 allocation, or can they sell 2015 and 2016 side by side?
Will they be blowing out the 2015 TLX for Civic LX money?

People (not people here generally) are always thinking that if they wait, it'll be cheaper later. I still get people asking about new 2014s RDXs. Totally clueless that the last '14 was sold a year ago.

Exactly - I got mine cheap as well. So when people try to tell me its just an overpriced, albeit nicer civic... I say, "thats funny, cuz I bought it for way cheaper then a Civic - so you're telling me I got an amazing deal then?"

It's definitely not a 'requirement' but it's a good idea. However, having something less expensive as an alternative is also OK for a short while so 'side by side' is also ok.

We actually already sold out of 2015 ILX's yesterday. The money and rates have been incredible for months, and inventory is already thin. If you want one, buy it now, as there's so little inventory aside from some more higher end Premium/Tech versions, you can't be picky with color, etc. any longer.
There will always be some model year overlap, but thankfully due to Acura/AHM extremely controlled production, leftovers are rarely an issue and gone quickly. Unlike Infiniti/Nissan where they try to purposely sell new 2013's still...nightmare resale and then some, all day long.
The less expensive car is always attractive to many, regardless of new changes.

If you can get an Acura for only a little more than the price of a loaded Civic, well, why not!! Although I myself would rather pay more and get the upgrades of the 2016. Still, if your budget for a car is c. $24k you could do a lot worse than the 2015 ILX. It's still a pretty sweet ride for that price.

I purchased a 2014 base ILX in Nov '13 for $24K plus tax, title, & $150 DOC fee.
I wanted to get the Premium Package but I didn't want to spend $2300 for HIDs & auto dimming mirror. Don't need fog lights & XM as I have my music on USB drives.
I installed HIDs from The Retrofit Source (TRS) and purchased a autodim mirror w/HomeLink. This was all done (with professional install) for much less than $2300.
The ILX at $24K is a bargain.
