Heater question on a new 2016
Heater question on a new 2016
Having just bought an ILX a couple of weeks ago, everythings great so far but I have one question which I'll end up asking our dealership about because the manual really doesn't cover much.
When I put the heater on, lets say 70 degree's or something, it doesn't really appear to be heating, sort of a normal air temperature coming out. It's not until I turn the heat to the highest setting (HI) that I actually feel any real heat coming out. Does anyone else with a 2016 have this same situation? I thought maybe I had some setting wrong but everything appears to be correct.
Every other vehicle I've had in recent years has always heated up pretty quick. any thoughts?

^^ I don't have a 2016 but rather, a 2014 (one of our vehicle). We have the same problem in that the heat doesn't seem gradual. It seems that its cold, cool or hot with not gradual demarcation in between. When I have it set a 24, it feels a bit cool....I bump it up to 26, the same with no change, then I put it to hi and wham....hot as can be.
Our RDX (2013) was the same and to a smaller (or lesser) extent, my 2012 TL did the same. My Chevette doesn't do this.... *lol*

Are you using the "auto" method or just turning the heat to 70. The auto method is where it tries to keep the cabin at 70 (vs. regular method which will blow 70 degree air all the time regardless of anything else).
I've tried on both manual and auto, same thing. I'm taking it for its first real trip this weekend so I'll see how it goes. I have a 1,000 mile curiosity check-up next week so I'll see what they say at the dealership.
