General: Rant/Rave Thread

Rant: My managers wait for my day off to tell my employee to do stupid bullshit work that just takes a day away from the job I wanted done. My employee just called to let me know the owner has him folding shirts all day long for a GUN RANGE. All stores are being neglected because they want SHIRTS on display in a gun store. Owners should not pretend to be General Managers and General Managers need to stop pretending to be store managers. Those lines DO NOT CROSS in good businesses.

Rave: Day off, new DRLs should be shipped today, and Shakespears Macbeth tonight for free in a park. Awesome.

What's with people claiming they are sponsored by drop shipping companies that don't even make their own parts.
What are they sending you other companies parts? Hahaha wtf

Rant: People that install coil overs and take pics then claim "yeah I'm going to lower the front a bit once it evens out."
Shut up, go raise the car up, spin the perches, and take new shots. Don't waste our time with uneven ride heights. Makes me think you didn't do the install yourself and need time to take the car to a shop.

Rant 2: "Pics don't do it justice!"
This makes sense if you're trying to show off a pearl paint job. But on a car or set of wheels... no. A picture is worth a thousand words. Your car ALWAYS looks like that. Period. Don't tell me you need to stand at the right angle because you would have taken a picture showing us if that was the case.

Rant: I broke my foot last week and its a uncommon break so they don't know how to do the reconstruction surgery... I have only 1 Oxycodone left and am nearing my Tylenol limits. Going back tomorrow for a check up and hopefully surgery.

Likely won't walk again till December. Cannot drive to school because its my right foot. What a way to start off senior year...

I was at a trampoline park, working out with a few friends and got my jumps wrong. I've been up there like 300 times this summer. It's not like I can't jump.

I have on of the best beds in the world but I'm so tired of being in it!

Damn bro, I broke both my feet as a kid, they never 100% healed right. Sorry to be kinda negative, but you'll probably end up like me, flatfooted. Just in one foot tho. Thats why they are waiting dude. They want to try to not leave you flatfooted. Just to let ya know what you're in for, It's more of an annoyance then anything else tho. I mean, i made it through Marine bootcamp and 20 mile hikes with 120+ pounds on my back. My medical record literally says "extreme flat foot (but the doc used the medical term), but sufficient for military service". Main thing is, it is super annoying, even painful to stand in one spot too long. I always gotta walk around or shuffle my feet or something. Standing at attention in military formations, my feet literally get swollen and numb, pretty torturous. But I'm standing in one spot for a few hours. You'll be fine man. Just gotta make sure you focus on healing best as possible. I'm not really joking, I hope you have or are interested/studying for some kind of a desk job.

Thanks guys. Its been about 6 days since if happened and I've done a lot of research and thinking. I've pretty much accepted the differences I'm going to have to adapt to.
I don't know how much I have to be on my feet designing at Acura but if its a lot I won't let it stop me. Hahaha. And as soon as I heal, like 8 months from now, Im going to go back and break my other foot!

I'll keep you guys posted. Hope they OK me for surgery tomorrow, go ahead and get this going with stronger meds.

Or dude you could just become super hero status - start working out your upper body a crap load to over compensate for your busted foot. That way you're not just stuck sitting around. Don't ned to walk to get an 8 pack. In 8 months when your good, you'll have normal legs and then big ole ripped upper body, but then you could just start leg day - cuz you never forget leg day....

As of now I have a great lower body and core from track and cross country, but I will definitely have to gain it back, especially my right leg once this is over. I was thinking about this being my big wake up call to transform my body. Being 5'10" and 190lbs gets a little old. I want that body I'm jealous over. I don't need to be ripped or anything, I just need to be... ~hot~ lol

lol. This was from to day:

Surgery is on the 8th of September. I will have 4 screws, 2 clamps and 4 wires plus a spring somewhere... no cast, just a boot. About 10 weeks before I can walk, I still expect December to be before I'm getting half way to normal. I'm now on some good good haha 25mg Hydrocodone/ ACEtaminophen for the pain and 25mg Amitriptyline for sleep. I haven't slept in days.

(I'm not a pill popper!)

^^ OUCH!!

If its any consolation, I went from being 5'10 and 185lbs to now have lost LOTS of weight and being extremely slim and toned (with a 6 pack visible at 43) so its possible!
