I noticed tonight, that the ILX mood lighting in the front footwell is an amberish/yellowy type color. I'm not crazy about that as the console buttons and even the overhead mood light are white.

Does anyone know if the TSX or TL have white mood lights for the front footwells? If so, can you order them from the part department and just swap out these yellowy bulbs for white ones?

 

Not sure about the answer to your question, but I also was curious if anyone has tried swapping out the rear interior light bulbs for the led ones used in the front of the car...it looks a little off seeing led lighting in the back and halogen lighting in the rear whenever you open the doors.

 

The TL's over-console and footwell ambient lighting is blue.

 

Wait, there is ambient lighting in the footwell? Well colour me 6500k...

 

And the Type S's over-console and footwell ambient lighting is red.

 

I swapped out the bulb in the rear for an LED. Not the same ones in the front, but one of vleds. It's brighter than the front and looks weird, but better than the amber IMO. Also did the license plate and trunk light.

 

Do you know what bulbs are used in the front / can they be used in the back? If not, can you send me a link to those bulbs?

 

Yeah, I don't want blue or red either. I want just plain white. Does anyone know if the TSX's front footwells have regular white?

 

The TSX is blue. However, it looks (from the outside) a lot like what they use in the Honda CRZ. If so, then it's a blue tinted cover that snaps over the bulb and this cover snaps into the lower portion of the dashboard for mounting.

 

Front are different style than the back.

This is the bulb I believe. Any 3175 will work. I am almost positive. I bought them a long time ago for my RDX and just switched them out and they work.

 

Can someone post pictures in decent quality of the ILX Ambient lighting at night? I'm curious of how it looks, as there are no pictures yet. I still like how our 04 TSX gauges, blue over head lighting and blue light under the climate control looks at night. Just wondering f the ILX had anything going on like the TSX did.

...still not sure why they didn't include this in the 2013 RDX?! I like that feature in my TL (bluish).

 

Hope these are decent enough. Pictures of the footwell amber light, white front overhead light, gauges, front door panel, backseat amber light.

Note once in drive and the front overhead lights turn off, two small blue leds light up. No blue light under climate control.
