First Power Add Mod :)

I figured it was worth posting since the forum seems a bit slow. It's winter, I know... not much going on.

So I added this today...

The silver matches the same color of the car, and you can't see it out the back window. Figured it was more modest then some of the Shocker Stickers. Plus they were $8, if it looked dumb I figured I could take a razor blade and just scrape them off.

I have another sticker that looks just like that one if anyone wants one. I will just mail it to you free of charge.

On a side note, does anyone know which side of the trunk the stock amplifier is on? I have an 8" JL audio w7 in a ported box that I'm adding in the trunk for low punch (Not a big heavy bass guy, but like a quick and clean hitting sub.). I don't want to tap the rear subwoofer line as I want a full signal for the amplifier to process.

Comments? Like I said it was cheap so in 2 days if I think it looks stupid I just scrape it off.

I'm seriously like the only person in Omaha that has an ILX to begin with, but I figured maybe someone in the area with a TSX or TL would see the sticker and hit me up for an invite to some get together...

That sounds rather questionable, but you know what I mean.

yup. :P

but you could... also just go to the regional section in the OFF-TOPIC forum and search for any upcoming Acura meets. Or set one up yourself. hahaha

Yeah, most of the meets are in Kansas City... which is cool. I don't mind the drive down, but the issue is I am leasing the car. In all seriousness, the mileage is what scares me (although I plan on buying the car back at the moment, but who knows as the lease end gets closer).

I don't know haha. Cheap entertainment I guess.

ah. yeah i'm in tri-state/north east jersey.. So I can jump around between borders (NJ NY CT) to go to meets. Most of the meets that are going on are usually within 20-30 minutes drive (not even distance-wise, mostly because of traffic). I always wondered about meets in the middle states, since it seems like bigger cities are so far apart and how it is like for enthusiasts to meet up for car gatherings and local events..

Also, leasing must be rough in those areas since driving and owning a car is a must due to lack of mass transportation within the towns.. I actually don't have to own a car where I live since during the week, I mostly travel by bus, light rail, subways, and ferries..

yeah, next big city is about 3 hours away to the east or to the south.

Leasing the car wasn't that bad of a deal. I am at a point in my life where I don't know where I will be in 3 years, so I didn't want to buy something and take a loss. I am 26 years old and got married last year, so I imagine kids will follow by the time the lease is up and my wife will want me to have a bigger car. If not I will end up just buying the car back. Lease payments are cheap as dirt, so I can't complain there.

I have stickers on my 2 rear quarter windows. Looks good!
The stock amplifier is actually somewhere on the floor of the car (looking at the diagrams) it doesn't show it to be in the back area... so i have no idea without digging around for it. I would say it may be a tiny amp hidden under the driver or passenger seat.

in good time . Next pay check goes to a set of 18" wheels, then I will turn to small performance upgrades.

I'm still thinking that anything I purchase has to be able to be removed if I decide to pick up a different car.
