We have a 2014 ILX and although I would love to have this model instead of the 2014 ILX we have, the price we got was extremely good and the lease payment is no different (well, 15$ more a month) than a base Civic so I can't complain.
The ILX is not our main luxury car, it is our #2 out of 3 cars....I will be leasing the "real toy" later this spring so the ILX we have still brings joy and it is still surprisingly fast despite the numbers on paper. The road noise is certainly an issue on some asphalt type though...no question there.
So had I paid full MSRP for the 2014 ILX, yeah, I'd be a little upset but we are paying what the car is worth in my opinion so I can live with that. I suspect that we'll either get this model at the end of its life OR get the 2G ILX to replace our 1G ILX.
This will be a fun car though....Congrats to Acura for finally picking up their games....now bring me a darn TLX type-S or something

^^Really same applies to me/my family. Ours was certified, and we too could have only afforded a base Civic LX new (we didn't actually cross shop with anything, but if we did we'd be looking at a Civic EX-L, which would be more money, and 8000 miles didn't really bother us). Anyway, neither the new ILX nor our 2.0 is a real numbers car, so knocking less than 2 seconds off the 0-60 isn't a big deal (although, I agree that the ILX needed it and it's a worthy upgrade!)
I love all the new upgrades and it's a much better car for them, but the price we paid for our ILX and it's performance/comfort is more than good enough, so that's all that matters to me.

Man, I feel like this car is a chick on facebook. Takes angled pics to hide ugly defects like chinny-chin-chin. Cuz, not gonna lie, that blue one looks pretty good at certain angles.
Don't like certain things on the looks, but to be honest, it looks like you could fix that stuff with some simple tuning... The more i see these production models the more potential I see...

Usually people with nicer cars that tie into their ego. Most people, I usually have to point out that it shares many of the same components as SI. I'm not joking, I've had my car compared/confused with the higher trim Acuras anyway. They look similar. Even I was like "Really?" ILX punches higher then its weight class in looks.
