Well, first of all, CAD to USD exchange rate was 0.9-0.95 : 1 for last four years, it dropped to 0.8 because of low crude oil price. Second of all, freight fee+PDI is twice the amount in Canada (Roughly $2150).
I live in Canada and I always feel Canadians are getting ripped off..

Hey, I'm not claiming to be an expert, but using reliable sources, the extra freight fees and a 0.79 exchange rate based (That's Google's number for right now) it still only comes out to $25,000 USD. Definitely a better deal than we get in the US, as the Canadian ILX Premium comes out to $27,000 USD after shipping, and that's less than the starting price for a base ILX in the US.
Yeah, in the last 15 years I have seen the C$ sometimes being stronger vs the US$ and Canadians go to the States to buy cars and other times the C$ is weak and then Americans come over to buy cars.
At this time, the Canadian Acuras even with generally better equipment, are very well priced vs their US counterparts.
