Premium A-spec or Tech plus A-spec

Which would you get? I'm caught on the fence of either the premium with A-spec or Tech with A-spec... or...contemplating whether I should go with the TLX? My situation is I'm a 29 year old male, nurse practitioner, in the military...I PCS to South Korea in 5 months and I get to take a car with me...the 2014 civic SI was fun, but after 8 years of driving an SI, I decided to step it up to a value luxury car such as acura and get an automatic...so I'm stuck on the fence between those two ILX model or the tech TLX 2.4?

BTW, I test drove the 2.4L TLX tech and it was awesome...compared to my civic SI..lol. Can anyone chime in on the new 2016 ILX models? If I plan to keep the car for the next 5+ years and I have an iPhone with tmobile, I read threads saying you don't need the tech package with navigation since I'll use my phone to navigate. Plus the ELS on the acura ILX wasn't great from what I heard...for EDM music and thus, that getting the non-tech package, or the premium package is ideal?

Wtf? Get the tech if you can afford it. How is that even a question?

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I was leaning more on the tech for long-term purposes lol...I'm on the fence on the new ILX or 2015 TLX? I'm not saying this forum will make the ultimate decision for me, just want some advice.

I say test drive both back to back. The TLX is a better looking car by far compared to the ILX. There is more room in the TLX, but the ILX is lighter with the same motor. The 18 inch on the ILX have less rubber so you'll feel more of the road (good and bad). I am 29 as well and I felt the TLX was more of my dad's car, but if you plan on keeping it for a while you will grow into it.

Bottom line if it were my choice a TLX 2.4L tech package and get a set of 18 inch wheels from the V6. The best of both worlds, plus you'll have NAVi built in and on your phone.

Dang, I didn't know people thought TLX was a "dad's car" LOL.

I'm 34 and also considering ILX or TLX, but my opinion differs on the looks. Personally I think the TLX is boring and plain looking next to the ILX, especially in A-Spec form. Both were next to each other on the showroom floor, so I hopped back and forth. It's clear that the TLX has better interior materials, as well as size. I was only able to drive the ILX, which I loved, but when it comes closer to decision time I will drive both back to back.

Good luck on your decision. And also thank you for your service.
