Buyers Remorse on OEM Lip Kit?
Buyers Remorse on OEM Lip Kit?
Hi all,
Sorry for another post, but I am curious if anyone has had buyers remorse after spending $1300 on the OEM lip kit?
I can't tell if my mind is playing tricks on me, because I think it COMPLETELY enhances/changes the look of the car (mine is a 2014) from the pictures i've seen.
It's really been the only part I've wanted since I purchased the car.
I'm curious if anyone has had any buyer's remorse, as in a few weeks passed and you were kinda "over it" or regretted it for that much money.
Im wanting the whole kit, as I think you might as well go all in.

Well... you'll likely have buyer's remorse when you realize you spent 1300 on just a few pieces of painted plastic... but... It does transform a car entirely. It's always hard to justify, but 19 times out of 20 people are like "Yeah, that was totally worth it".
If you have 1300 burning a hole in your pocket, do it up. If you need that money for more important things, then focus on that instead.

Luckily for me the previous owner had the OEM lip kit and spoiler installed when she bought the car. I love the look with them on. If the car didn't come with them I would have did it myself as the car looks totally different without them.
I couldn't justify it. At $1300 plus installation, its more than a tenth of what my car is worth. It looks nice but it doesn't drastically transform the look of the car imo (my car is black)
I find it interesting that you're thinking of dropping $1500 on the kit but won't get an authentic OEM spoiler for $100 more than a replica (saw your other post).

no one is hating. it's a personal finance decision.
read; PERSONAL.
most are saying that they wouldn't personally spend $1300 on a plastic kit. that's not hating. that's just being smart.

Some pictures I see on here I feel like it makes a huge difference, others (especially the black ILX's for some reason), I don't see it making that big of a difference.
I had the "gun bug" for a while when I was a little younger, and now never go shooting, so thought about selling them and flipping the cash.
Thanks for everyones responses, pretty interesting to see both sides.

I like when people black out the bottom center curved piece of the back bumper too, thats when I think it makes a good difference.
