Best type of intake for 2016 ilx
At the moment, nothing is currently offered.
The 2016 ILX's feature a new engine design and orientation which makes any intake parts for the previous 2013-15 2.4's incompatible. The Intake Manifold/Throttle Body are located towards the rear by the firewall, as opposed to the front near the radiator support in the previous 2.4L's
Its quite unfortunate because given the 16's revised from bumper design, its begging for a ram air style Ice-Box setup.

The best you can do for the moment is build one your self using components you can buy from amazon. A "U-Build-It" composite intake duct, "Headlight Intake Funnel", a 4"-3.5" 90° silicone reducer, and four 3.5" silicone couplers to link it all together. Ends up being about $200 for all the parts you need.
Its not impossible and can be done in the course of an afternoon with hand tools and a hack-saw. While the U-Build-It kits are sectionalized in various bends and straight pieces, you'll have to cut them off since they are part of a single mold.
Once I removed the OEM lower resonator chamber and snorkel, I was able to mock up the correct angles and bends needed to fit.

You'll end up attaching your new lower Ice-Box snorkel to the factory air-box through the upper most piece of the OEM duct. Its an awkwardly shaped piece of plastic since it has to go around some tight spaces, so its best to leave that piece OEM.

Mount up some supports to the frame with some Zip-Ties...

And your ready to roll.

The only thing the system is missing to be truly 'complete' would be a drop-in high flow filter from K&N or Uni-Filter. As of now they don't offer one yet, but seeing as how you can get Drop-Ins from K&N for things like a 2013 Odyssey Minivan, I'm sure its only a matter of time. From what I could tell the air-box shape and internal design is different from the previous 2.4L's as well so there is no cross compatibility there either.
