Anyone know how to compression test an ILX?

I can't crank the engine over due to the push button start. Pushing the start button does nothing.

Unplugged the ignition coil packs from the spark plugs
Removed fuel pump fuse
Removed ign coil fuse
Removed the spark plugs
Put in compression tester

Wanted to do the test to serve as a baseline to monitor engine health over time. In a friend's S2000, we did the same thing but pushing the start button still turns the engine over.

Any ideas?

dont remove the fuel pump fuse or ignition coil fuse, just unplug coils and unplug clips on injectors.
