I have a 2016 ILX base with Acurawatch Plus. The Acura websites and literature consistently refer to Active Noise Cancellation as standard on this car. I hear no effects from ANC, and the selling dealer is certain this car does not have ANC. This is not the Adaptive Volume Control for radio volume, as all of you know. Comments and suggestions please. Where are the ANC microphones? Is anyone getting a response from the Active Noise Cancellation ciruitry?

 

I know fact the 2013-15 ILX has ANC as I unplugged mine.

Back when this thread was created. A video was posted to show how to unplug the ANC in the 13-15 ILX. I assume it would be in the same place if you want to look.

As for the 2016 specifically though I really cant say. Good luck.

I know it's there, though it's not a system you can disable (maybe with some special diagnostic mode you could)

From what I recall, it mainly goes after lower frequency vibrations from the engine/mounts.

And I know that if you try to bypass it when installing an aftermarket head unit, it can cause weird volume balance issues between the front and rear speakers.
