2016 ILX Startup problem

I've only had this happen a couple of times but when I startup my car it starts up as if it was an old junker. I have my foot on the brake and push the start button and it doesn't startup right. I don't how else to describe it but if you guys know what the problem could be please let me know

This has happened more than once?

Dude. If that happened ONCE I would be at the dealer where I purchased the car same day.

Go to the dealer!

Sounds like a dumb answer but did you hold the starter button in to long? It only needs a quick tap to start. I hadn't driven our ILX for a couple of weeks recently and when I went to start it I mistakenly held in the button for a few seconds and it did the same thing.

I just wasn't thinking about it when I did it. Even my wife asked me why I held it in to long. For me, we have trucks at work with starter buttons that need to be held in until the engine kicks over. Hard to get out of the practice.

Your brand new car has more than once sounded like a "junker" while starting up? Sounds like a serious issue to me. Like I said Id be at my dealer the first day I heard this.

But maybe we have different ideas of what a junker sounds like. I assume maybe some initial whinning from the car trying to turn over followed by the sound of a lawn mower that hasnt run all winter.

Id take it in man. Cant ever be too safe and you wouldnt want to be harming anything by not going in.

If you cannot put into words the problem you think you're experiencing, a video is the next best thing.
